11/5 TUESDAY 5:30pm   Varsity @ Hutto/Harker – NO SCHOOL  -Varsity Players and Managers will meet at Thundercloud Subs 11:30 for lunch before a Walk Through and Film at 1:30. Bus will depart 3:30. 

11/8 FRIDAY 5:15pm – 8pm – ALL TEAMS @ Georgetown – Transportation and a meal provided – Players and Managers should plan to ride the bus to and from the games or have an alternate plan approved by Coach before game day. 

11/9 SATURDAY    8am-10am – ALL TEAMS Conditioning and Film// Finish Tryouts
 

11/12  TUESDAY 5pm-8pm - 9A, JV and Varsity @ L.B.J.High School  - Transportation and a meal provided – Players and Managers should plan to ride the bus to and from the games or have an alternate plan approved by Coach before game day. 

11/14-16  THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY  - MAROON  CLASSIC TOURNAMENT, VARSITY @ AHS. Volunteers needed for this 3 day event. Sign up in STACK TEAM APP

SAVE THE DATE: 11/18, MONDAY RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL TEAM DINNER and Spirit Night at P. Terry’s  3303 N. Lamar, 78705. 10% of all sales, 4-10pm, will go to AHS Boys Basketball Program!!!

*Boosters will provide dinner for all Players, Managers, and Coaches.  Please encourage friends and family to eat dinner out and support the team.  Flier attached if you would like to share and promote! 

PRACTICES

NUTRITION****

Practices are tough and Players need to fuel their bodies with nutritious foods and plenty of rest.

Coach advises players to eat an hour before practice so that food has time to digest and not risk getting sick in the middle of practice. Practicing on an empty stomach is NOT good and will not allow players to train to their BEST POTENTIAL.

Parents, please work with your players to find what works best for your child and your family, whether it be a protein shake or meal with sufficient time to digest before practice begins but rolling out of bed into practice on an empty stomach or rushed eating just before practice is a recipe for failure for the whole team.

SCHEDULES***

Your player will always have the most up to date information about any schedule changes because coaches will communicate directly with them on the team chats.

Pay close attention to holiday schedules. There are district games and official practices over both holiday breaks.

STACK TEAM APP: Parents and Players should both be signed up on Stack Team App to see the most up to date schedules and program announcements. Volunteer assignments are also managed through the app, so it’s very important that everyone is signed up and receives notifications. Events, games, and practices are continuously added and updated to the Stack Team calendar.
